We want to ensure everyone has access to Hack the Gap programming. In 2020, your sponsorship will help make our events and initiatives possible. All contribution helps us provide access to quality, accessible programming and events to our community.
Sponsorships are currently open leading up to our September events. In 2020, you will be supporting initiatives that increase the representation of women, women of color and non-binary people in tech. Here are the key initiatives you will supporting:
Digital Network
Hack the Gap has created a Mighty Network to connect more closely to our digital Network. This Network houses groups, cohorts, topics, and event announcements. We have created the IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Awareness) Cohort to help individuals and companies to improve their diversity processes through interactive course material and conversations.
2020 Hack the Gap Summit + Demo
Hack the Gap is hosting an October Summit, featuring talks from futurists in tech, tech entrepreneurs, leaders in tech, and tech community members. This summit will facilitate important conversations regarding the intersectionality between tech and racial and gender equity.
HAck for justice
Our upcoming Hackathon will be building off of our October Summit. In honor of George Floyd and the many victims of police killings before him, Hack For Justice organizes local, regional, and global businesses with community organizers and individuals to create innovative products, services, and companies that 1) rebuild destroyed properties, infrastructure, and businesses, and 2) support emotional and mental health during the fallout.
The Bridge Program
The Bridge Program is a space for technologists and digital producers new to the field to build their skills and confidence through freelance work. Our program will focus on facilitating personal and professional growth for those interested in tech and the digital space. In particular, we will focus on helping technology entrepreneurs build their talent, confidence and portfolio.
HAck the Gap Digital community
Hack the Gap is passionate about its close relationship with our digital community. We feel that open communication with our local and digital community is the backbone of our organization. Our blog series and newsletter is a great way to stay updated on news and events. Hack the Gap is always expanding and improving, thanks to our diverse and talented community members.
