Bridge Fellowship

Bridging the Gap, one hacker at a time

Hack the Gap has created the Bridge Fellowship to facilitate personal and professional growth for women, non-binary, and BIPoC groups. We are making an investment in our community, to build a more equitable world through technology. The fellowship focuses on young and diverse entrepreneurs, getting their foot in the doors that are otherwise closed to them.

Other large tech corporation’s diversity reports reveal very similar data, further proving that there is a tremendous amount of bias in the tech industry. Our mission is to minimize that gap and transcend the bias by providing access to resources, training, connections, and more. The tech industry has traditionally been driven by competition based on inequity, this inequity has served as a barrier for women, non-binary, and BIPoC people. These barriers are prevalent to the point where undertaking an intensive software bootcamp or getting a computer science degree is not enough to get a job in the industry. This program provides opportunities to grow technical skills through real projects while developing the acumen to be self-employed, start a business, or seek employment.

The Bridge Fellowship is Hack The Gap's way of putting a stake in the ground to support deserving tech workers. Truly helping them succeed in an inequitable environment

Our Model: We will pair our participants with paid projects, skills coaching, and professional mentorship while providing clients with amazing products. We hope to grow together with our participants and clients. Community is vital in tackling huge social and professional change, the first step is to get our participants in that door.
